Phi Mu at Belmont University Hosts Annual BonnaMu Event Featuring Hunter Hayes
The Phi Mu chapter at Belmont University recently held their annual fall philanthropy event, BonnaMu, featuring Hunter Hayes as their headliner. This year, they created a more intimate event in the McAfee Concert Hall on Belmont’s campus dubbed BonnaMu Unplugged. By the end of their fundraising efforts for BonnaMu, the sorority has raised more than $63,000 towards their gift agreement for their local Children’s Miracle Network hospital over the past two years.
Several student performers opened the show, including Sydney Dumler, Delaney Schueler, Taylor Bickett and Maggie Renfroe. Phi Mu’s philanthropy chair, Britney Sams, organized the event and described how she wanted to change the vibe of the event this year to something more intimate, explaining the name BonnaMu Unplugged.
Sams knew she wanted to make this event larger than years past. With the large influence of the music industry on Belmont’s campus, she knew that there was huge potential for the success of this event. She did her best to make it bigger and better than it has ever been.
Everything raised from the event is going to support their local Children’s Miracle Network hospital, Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. We are thankful for their continued support through the years.
