Ravenwood Dance Marathon Doubles Fundraising Goal
On March 2, Ravenwood High School hosted its inaugural Dance Marathon. Not only was it a first for the school, Ravenwood Dance Marathon is the first Dance Marathon in Williamson County, Tennessee. The students began the year by setting a goal of $5,000 and spent the year engaging their campus to raise funds for Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. During Fall 2018, they organized a registration push week and had more than 200 students register. Since the beginning of the year, they have worked to plan an event filled with meaningful activities, family stories, and a great morale dance. At the end of the event, they revealed their yearlong fundraising total of $10,057.19. RDM chose to partner with Vanderbilt University Dance Marathon, and so their funds will be added to the VUDM 2020 fundraising total. We are so grateful for all the Ravenwood students’ hard work.
