St. Bernard Academy Hosts First Ever Miracle Week

St. Bernard Academy, an independent co-educational elementary school for Junior Kindergarten through 8th grade students in Nashville, celebrated Catholic Schools Week by hosting their first Miracle Week to benefit Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. From  Jan. 28 to Jan. 31, students had the opportunity to learn about the hospital through presentations by patient ambassadors, nurses, and child life specialists. On Jan. 28, students were asked to bring $5 as an honorarium during their annual faculty basketball game where Vanderbilt University Dance Marathon (VUDM) students performed their Morale Dance for the half-time show.

In total, St. Bernard Academy raised $1,737 for Children’s Hospital. This amount will count towards VUDM’s 2018-2019 fundraising total that will be announced at their Big Event on Feb. 16. We are so grateful for St. Bernard Academy support and inspired by their hard work.
