Torch Relay Comes to Nashville!

For the first time in Nashville, Torch Relay will be held at Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center, on Saturday, Oct. 21.  Join us for registration at 5:30 p.m., along with games, music and fun! All attendees are encouraged to arrive dressed as their favorite superhero, with the best costumes awarded fun prizes! For all walkers and runners, the 5K will kick off at the Outdoor Pavilion (off Opry Mills Drive) at 6:30 p.m. and will continue around the property via marked areas.

After the 5K, culinary teams from Gaylord Opryland, the Inn at Opryland, the Wildhorse Saloon, the Airport Marriott, and Renaissance Nashville will all compete to win your votes for the best BBQ. Additional votes for your favorite team can be purchased for a small donation. And, for kids, a special buffet of hot dogs and chips will be made available.

Along with the BBQ Competition, the afterparty will rock with DJ Garret Lauer, outdoor games, a fun-filled Kid Zone area, photo opportunities and more! So, gather up the family and come on out for this great event, all in support of Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt, our local CMN hospital.
