Vanderbilt University Dance Marathon raised $231,764.19 For the Kids

On Saturday, Feb. 16, Vanderbilt University Dance Marathon hosted their annual 13.1-hour Big Event to celebrate their 2018-2019 fundraising efforts. The day featured performances by Vanderbilt Student groups, in-event fundraising efforts, Miracle Ambassadors, and special guests like Vanderbilt Athletes, Chancellor Nicholas Zeppos, Head Football Coach Derek Mason, and Athletics Director Malcolm Turner. At the end of the night, VUDM had raised more than $30,000 in-event, and the Executive Board revealed a year-long fundraising total of $231,764.19. All proceeds benefit Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt.  The 2019 VUDM broke records for attendance, engagement, and cause connection, laying the foundation for a more sustainable organization in the years to come.  VUDM is the largest student-run philanthropy on the Vanderbilt campus.
